He angitutanga : The opportunityAuckland Council's Tamaki Makaurau Recovery Office has an opportunity for a Community Recovery Specialist to join the Community and Social Recovery team.As part of a regional team, this role will focus on supporting Mangere's recovery and resilience journey.

You'll be at the heart of community-led recovery, building trusted relationships and ensuring council responses are trauma-informed, inclusive, and responsive.You could expect to work on : Support a ropu of community leaders to co-design and deliver a participatory funding process that backs grassroots recovery actions.Work alongside iwi, marae, hapu, and community groups to strengthen partnerships grounded in trust, respect, and shared purpose.Help communities organise, mobilise, and take coordinated action that reflects their strengths, aspirations, and lived experiences.Create spaces where diverse voices are heard and valued, and where communities influence decisions that shape their futures.Identifying and bridging the gap between council, agencies and community groups to align support with what communities truly need.Apply trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches that honour lived experience and build long-term resilience.To view a copy of the position description, please refer to the job posting.He korero mou : About youAre you a connector, a collaborator, and a champion for community voice?
