Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) is responsible for the design, maintenance and implementation of ASB's Fin Crime Compliance Programmes.

FCC at ASB considers the Financial Crime impacts on our customers, and avails tooling that can be created to protect them.

As a Software Specialist at ASB, you'll provide technical leadership and hands-on expertise to help shape, build, and support the platforms that power our digital experiences.

This senior individual contributor role blends deep engineering knowledge with mentoring, solution design, and platform stewardship.

You'll work closely with engineers, product owners, and architects to deliver robust, scalable, and secure solutions.

Whether you're developing reusable components, enabling automation, or guiding best practice across squads, your work will directly influence the quality and resilience of our technology stack.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex problems, enjoys coaching others, and is passionate about continuous improvement and technical excellence

8+ years of hands-on Pega experience

, with a minimum

CSSA certification

(required for this role)

Deep knowledge of the

full delivery lifecycle

, from analysis and design to development and deployment

Confidence applying and communicating

industry best practices

across teams and stakeholders

A solid understanding of

integration principles

and how tech stacks can be used to solve business challenges

Experience working in

Agile environments

, with certification or practical exposure to Agile methods

Familiarity with

DevSecOps principles

and a compliance-focused approach to software engineering

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels and explain technical concepts to non-experts

Exposure to

cloud-based engineering solutions

and

AI
