What does a Safety & Wellbeing Advisor do?

At Corys, safety is everyone's responsibility — and it begins with you.

In this role, you'll support our "Safety Starts with Me" culture by working closely with teams across our branches.

As a key safety advocate, you will : Deliver health, safety, and wellbeing advice throughout the businessMaintain and improve safety systems, risk management, and wellbeing programsSupport leaders to be active safety role modelsDevelop and deliver engaging safety training (both in-person and online)Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and standardsAssist with incident investigations and support employee return-to-work processesEncourage open conversations about safety and wellbeing in the workplaceWhat do you need to bring to Corys?

We're looking for someone who cares about safety beyond just compliance.

To succeed in this role, you should have : A qualification in Health and Safety or relevant experience (2+ years) in a safety advisory roleA good understanding of NZ Health & Safety legislation and industry standardsExperience working collaboratively to provide health, safety, and wellbeing adviceSkills in developing Health & Safety policies, procedures, and systemsStrong communication and facilitation abilitiesComfort using digital tools for safety reporting and trainingA proactive approach, willingness to learn, and a team-focused attitudeWhat can Corys offer you?
