Ko Taku Reo Deaf Education New Zealand is lookingfor a dedicated Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to champion wellbeingand ensure safe practices across our organisation.THE ROLE / TE MAHIThis role plays a vital part in maintaining strong healthand safety systems, coordinating emergency preparedness, supporting propertyrisk management and contributing to a positive, culturally inclusiveworkplace.
You'll work closely with staff across multiple sites, helping embedproactive health and wellbeing practices, train staff and support ongoingcompliance with New Zealand H&S legislation.
This is a permanent, part-time(0.6FTE) role based in Tamaki Makaurau and reports to the Heath, Safety &Wellbeing Lead who is based in Otautahi.YOU WILL HAVE / KA MAHI KOEA qualification in Health & Safety (orsimilar)Practicalknowledge of H&S in a school or multi-site settingGreatcommunication and problem-solving skillsConfidenceworking cross-culturally, especially in bicultural and Deaf contextsAwillingness to learn NZSL and engage with Deaf cultureYou'll bring a proactive mindset, strong administrative andorganisational skills, and a commitment to supporting the wellbeing of bothstaff and akonga.
