Position Overview : We are seeking an experienced and proactive Development Manager to lead the successful development and construction of utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects across New Zealand. This is a critical role within our New Zealand team, where you will be responsible for managing projects through to financial close or construction completion.

You will play a pivotal role in driving the development strategy and executing across all parts of the project development and delivery lifecycle. This includes managing project development programmes and budgets, engaging and managing technical and commercial advisors, and ensuring projects are optimised, and delivered from the development pipeline for construction. The position also includes responsibility for managing due diligence processes and supporting key commercial activities such as EPC and O&M procurement and financing.

Position Responsibilities

Project Development and Strategy

• Support general solar farm and BESS development activities from site feasibility through to pre-construction.
• Support the Planning Director as required on Resource Consent applications, approval processes, and consent compliance
• Collaborate with the broader team to optimise project layouts, yield, and technical solutions.
• Contribute to internal investment proposals and project development strategy.
• Responsibility for internal project management processes and systems, and managing project programs across the pipeline.
• Responsibility for documentation management, including updating and management of datarooms.
• Supporting the Finance Team with managing project costs and budgets.
