About the role
As a
People Partner
, you'll be a trusted advisor to the business, providing high-quality, legally sound, and best-practice HR advice across the employee lifecycle.
You'll play a key role in coaching and enabling leaders to build high-performing teams, navigate change, and foster a positive workplace culture.
We are looking for an HR generalist with solid ER experience who can hit the ground running and who is used to working at pace.
You will be comfortable working in the grey and anticipating the needs of the business, keeping people at the heart of all that you do.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about all things people related - you will be the go-to person for all things HR from performance and capability, right through to culture and change.
We are a small but close-knit team, who work across our Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch Offices.

Responsibilities
Provide HR generalist support, coaching and empowering leaders to build high-performing teams
Advise on employee lifecycle, performance and capability, culture and change
Partner with the business to deliver legally sound, best-practice HR advice
Work across Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch offices as required
Qualifications
A tertiary qualification in HR and / or equivalent relevant experience
Experience in HR / ER disciplines (including disciplinary matters, personal grievances, investigations, mediation, conflict resolution, change management) in large complex organisations (500+) with active unions
Proven experience advising on complex ER issues and a wide range of employment solutions, preferably in a public / government sector
Ability to assess a situation based on HR best practice, knowledge of employment law, business needs and practical experience
Excellent communication and relationship building skills to get to know the business and effectively influence the best outcomes for our people
An ability to travel within NZ and be away from home from time to time
