TeKorowai Whariki services are both inpatient and community based.
Te KorowaiWhariki consists primarily of two arms - Central Regional Services and theIntellectual Disability (ID) ServicesTheCentral Regional Forensic Mental Health Inpatient Service is based at theRatonga-Rua-O-Porirua campus.
Within this service, Purehurehu is a dedicatedspace that provides support for tane (men) who require intensive mental healthcare, close observation, and a safe, secure environment.Purehurehuis a medium secure forensic psychiatric unit with 18 beds providing admission,assessment and treatment for male offenders with mental health problems who havebeen referred through the justice system, either by the courts for mentalhealth assessment and / or treatment, or from prison when mental health supportis needed.Ouraim is to work in partnership with tangata whaiora supporting them throughtheir mental health challenges while recognising their strengths, experiences,and goals for the future.About youStrongcommunication and interpersonal skillsExperiencein working in forensic mental health settingsMust be aRegistered Health Professional with a current Practising CertificateWorking at HealthNew ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is- the weaving of wellness - .
