This operational role supports the leadership and management of the inpatient Occupational Therapy team at Hutt Hospital, and works closely with other allied health leaders to deliver a high quality, sustainable service.
This is a 0.4FTE leadership role (16 hours / week).
There is the possibility of also securing clinical FTE for the right candidate, if required.
We are open to discussing various work patterns to ensure the best fit for the team and the successful applicant.
This team provides profession and site-based operational leadership at Wellington and Hutt Hospitals, and leadership of the multidisciplinary allied health team at Kenepuru Hospital.
Whilst this role will be based at Hutt Hospital, we are strengthening our identity as a strong district-wide team, so there will opportunities to connect with colleagues at other sites, and to collaborate on projects and initiatives to maximise the delivery of services across the wider district.The Occupational Therapy team at Hutt Hospital is a small inpatient team that provides assessment and intervention to people across all wards and inpatient services, supported also by a team coordinator.
They work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members to support positive outcomes for patients, and link with the community and wider services across the district.
You will have close links with the district-wide Professional Leader for Occupational Therapy, the Occupational Therapy Team Leader for Wellington Hospital, and our Clinical Educator for Occupational Therapy who supports the rotational OTs as they move across the district.
You may have specific operational leadership experience, but if not then you will be able to demonstrate how your previous roles have grown your leadership skills in other areas.You will have a demonstrated commitment to service development and quality improvement, and a strong ability to build relationships and establish connections with people from a wide range of services, settings, and backgrounds.You will be able to apply a strong equity lens to the work of the team, and work collaboratively to maximise our health outcomes for Maori.
