We play an important role in the region's economic and social development by identifying and investing in new technologies to future-proof our region – and keep our communities flourishing.About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Manager within our Overhead Projects team.As a Project Manager, you will manage a wide range of projects critical to the electricity distribution network and WEL customers.
To excel in this role, you will also be a self-motivated professional with excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills, and a proven team player.Responsibilities include : Manage the successful delivery of assigned projects – both small to large network maintenance, development and customer-driven projectsTimely and accurate Progress and Financial ReportingEnsure projects achieve regulatory requirements and meet WEL standardsEngagement and management of subcontractorsLiaison with local authorities and other key stakeholders for the initiation and delivery of projectsApply your knowledge, experience, problem solving and decision-making skillsBuild and maintain effective networks and working relationships with key stakeholdersSkills and experienceWe are looking for someone who has : At least 5 years' experience in the delivery of capital and customer driven construction projects in the electricity industryAppropriate tertiary level technical qualification, ideally in project managementDemonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, the electricity industryCommitment to health and safety that is second to noneA focus on delivering exceptional customer serviceStaff BenefitsYou will benefit from a powerful package of benefits if you join us at WEL – from medical, life, and income protection insurance, to relocation costs, flexible working options, ongoing career development and more – and most important of all, an excellent salary package.SafetyWorking within a safety critical industry, we are committed to making sure that both our people and our business are kept safe and secure.
