The Role : We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team.
In this role, you will play an integral part in the successful delivery of engineering and control projects, managing everything from initiation to completion.You will handle a wide range of responsibilities, including project planning, budgeting, and liaising with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.In this role, you will : Manage the delivery of projects related to electricity distribution, overhead lines, underground cables, subdivision work, and substation upgrades.Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards.Lead project planning, execution, commissioning, and closure phases.Prepare and manage work packs, including site details, job scope breakdown, and outage planning.Liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, consultants, and local authorities to ensure smooth project execution.Oversee financial performance of active projects, including invoicing and job reconciliation.About You : We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and a strong communicator.To succeed in this role, you will need : A Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or equivalent, or National Certificate in Electrical Engineering Level 4At least 2 years of relevant project management or technical experienceKnowledge of LV and HV distribution systems and zone substationsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project)Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)About usNorthpower is an electricity and fibre network provider for Whangarei and Kaipara, with more than 60,000 connected customers.Northpower is one of the largest multi-utility contractors in New Zealand, servicing the needs of clients in transmission, distribution, generation, fibre, renewables, and commercial sectors.We have a reputation for excellence and innovation, providing commercially viable solutions for electrical and telecommunication design, construction, and maintenance requirements.We have over 1,400 staff working together across 14 locations to keep the power on and the lights going for our customersGet in touch!
