OverviewProgramme Coordinator, Establishment Unit – Wellington-based fixed term, full time role until 31 August 2026.
The role is responsible for providing programme level tracking, monitoring and reporting to support the establishment of the New Zealand School Property Agency (NZSPA).
It involves the management and maintenance of programme data and documentation, oversight, tracking and coordination of key programme deliverables, and regular programme reporting.
It also coordinates programme progress, tracking and reporting on upcoming workflow, and supports general administration as required.Salary range : $74,015 – $89,547 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver.
The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.This is a Wellington-based fixed term, full-time role to support the development and transition of School Property to the new entity.ResponsibilitiesProvide programme level tracking, monitoring and reporting to support establishment activities for NZSPA.Manage and maintain programme data and documentation, oversee, track and coordinate key programme deliverables, and prepare regular programme reports.Coordinate programme progress, tracking and reporting on upcoming workflow, and support general administration as required.About youTo be successful in the role you will have experience in providing support at a programme level and a proven ability in preparing documentation, reports, agendas and minute taking.
You will be able to use data and insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities and to influence and guide organisational and system-level decision making.

The group is responsible for the portfolio, school engagement, asset management, capital works delivery, investment planning and portfolio management.
The team aims to invest in property solutions that deliver value for money while meeting the needs of schools and kura.The School Property group is led by a Chief Executive for School Property, reporting to the Minister for Education.
In July 2025 the Government announced the establishment of a Crown agent to manage school property, called the New Zealand School Property Agency (NZSPA).
