We're looking for a Venue and Programming Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations and community programmes at the Freemans Bay Community Centre.This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll combine your organisational skills with your creativity and people focus to make sure the centre thrives as a hub for the local community.About the RoleAs the Venue and Programming Coordinator, you'll : Manage bookings and ensure the smooth running of events, classes, and activitiesPlan, deliver, and promote community programmes that reflect the diverse needs of Freemans BayProvide excellent customer service to hirers, visitors, and community membersLead the centre's marketing (social media, newsletters, and promotions) in line with the Ponsonby Community Centre Trust's visionMonitor the facility day to day and engage with Auckland Council to ensure repairs and general maintenance is carried outDevelop relationships with the local community groups, stakeholders, and long-term tenantsPrepare quarterly KPI reports for Auckland CouncilYou'll work closely with the Ponsonby Community Centre Manager and be part of a Trust that is dedicated to supporting vibrant, inclusive, and connected communities.The centre operates seven days a week, so at times, your hours may spread out across a weekend.About YouWe're looking for someone who is : An experienced relationship developerCommunity-minded, culturally aware, and enthusiastic about making a differenceExperienced in coordinating venue hire, events, or public programmingOrganised, proactive, and able to juggle competing prioritiesA great communicator who enjoys working with diverse groups of people and understands how to collaborate to get things doneConfident with digital tools, booking systems, and social media promotionThe DetailsHours : Part-time, 24 hours per week (some evenings or weekends as required)Location : The main location is Freemans Bay Community Centre, there may be time when you will work at Ponsonby Community CentreEmployer : Ponsonby Community Centre TrustHow to ApplyIf this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
