Ale House Queenstown is looking for Chinese Cuisine Senior Chefs to assist our Head Chef in planning, directing, controlling, coordinating and participating in the day-to-day preparation and production. Ensures that the products are of the highest quality, and that this is consistently achieved. Assists the Head Chef in his tasks and supports his responsibilities during his absence.
Responsibilities :
- Expertise in Chinese Cuisine for preparing and cooking Chinese dishes such as Cantonese, Sichuan dishes and other etc.;
- Contribute to menu creation by responding and incorporating Guest feedback;
- Be environmentally aware;
- Manage food costing and inventory;
- Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation and standards.
- Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues;
- Manage the kitchen effectively to ensure a well-organised, motivated team;
- Manage all aspects of the kitchen including operational, quality and administrative functions;
- Ensure compliance with applicable health codes and regulations;
- Create and demonstrate new authentic sishes and traditional techniques for the team on a regular basis;
- Provide ongoing training for the team;
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Director from time to time.
Job requirements :
At least 2 years working experiences as a Chinese Cuisine Chef;Strong Supervisory skills;Knowledges of Chinese cooking production required;Good Communication skills;Ability to work under pressure;A creative approach to the production of food;Excellent planning and organizing skills;Ability to work on your own or in teams;Ability multi-task and meet deadlines.
