About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Advisor to support the delivery of emergency management services and response functions across our districts. This role plays a key part in implementing nationally designed and regionally enabled emergency management workplans, providing technical advice, and supporting district leadership teams with emergency management guidance.
You’ll work collaboratively across the health and disability system, supporting training, exercises, and stakeholder engagement to ensure our emergency management systems are robust, responsive, and aligned with Health New Zealand's strategic resilience priorities.
About the Team / Service / Location
This role sits within the Health, Wellbeing, Safety & Organisational Resilience team in the People & Culture team. You’ll be part of a national network of emergency management professionals, working closely with district leads and regional teams to strengthen our emergency preparedness and response capabilities.

You’ll have a strong background in emergency management and be a confident communicator, skilled at building relationships and working effectively with others to deliver outcomes. You bring a partnership mindset and a commitment to equity and experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action.
