Senior Health & Safety Advisor

About the role

We’re looking for a hands‑on Health & Safety Advisor to drive health, safety, and wellbeing across Aroa. This role gives you the chance to shape, evolve, and strengthen how H&S is lived across the business.

Key responsibilities include :

• Managing compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act (2015)
• Managing and continuously improving AROA’s H&S systems and policies
• Actively engaging with staff to promote safe work practices
• Running H&S Committee meetings to updating systems and leading investigations
• Providing hands on H&S expertise across the business, and ensuring H&S recommendations are implemented
• Overseeing H&S requirements for external contractors and ensuring compliance
• Running company‑wide wellbeing initiatives
• Preparing and presenting H&S insights and reports to the senior leadership team
• Supporting environmental sustainability initiatives, including hazardous substances and waste management
• Coaching our H&S Coordinator and promoting a positive safety culture across AROA
