• The Technical Advisory team is responsible for providing specialist advice to workers, PCBUs, and WorkSafe kaimahi. The wider Technical Advisory team specialise in occupational diving, asbestos, hazardous substances, engineering, pipelines, construction, amusement devices and adventure activities.

• About the role / Ō te tūranga
• Reporting to the manager Technical Advisory and working closely with Health experts across WorkSafe Mahi Haumaru Aotearoa, (externally as required), the roles will provide specialist occupational health expertise and advice to WorkSafe Mahi Haumaru Aotearoa, across a range of activities including investigations, prosecutions, and sector initiatives / development. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping these initiatives that respond to evolving sector needs, ensuring our planning processes are informed, inclusive, and future focused.
• This is a 6 month Fixed term or Inter Agency Secondment opportunity

• Support sector planning activities and contributing to strategic frameworks.
• Provide insight and analysis about health enquiries.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to align planning with sector priorities.
• Advising on interpretation and application of health standards to frontline teams.
• Contributing to continuous improvement and innovation across planning processes.

• Expertise in occupational health and experienced in delivering advice on such.
• Demonstrates strong analytical and communication skills.
• Has a collaborative approach and is confident engaging with a range of stakeholders.
• Shows initiative and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
• Has experience in health sector planning or related areas.

• Salary range / Awhe utu
• As part of our remuneration framework the full salary range for the position is from $111,204 to $146,382, and our expected starting base salary for the right person is from $111,204 to $122,930. Note : KiwiSaver / SSRSS employer contribution is additional too / on top of your base salary.
