We have a rewarding opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team at Tamaki Oranga Recovery Centre, a 20-bed all-male inpatient mental health rehabilitation unit that provides care for tangata whaiora with enduring mental health needs.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will bring clinical expertise, leadership, and a commitment to recovery-oriented practice.

About the Role
You will be responsible for providing high-level occupational therapy services within an interdisciplinary team.
This includes :
Comprehensive assessment and intervention for tangata whaiora with complex mental health needs
Supporting functional recovery through engagement in meaningful occupation
Providing clinical leadership, mentoring and supervision to others in the occupational therapy team
Actively participating in quality improvement and service development initiatives
Collaborating with colleagues and community supports to ensure seamless care delivery
This role is ideal for someone passionate about working in mental health rehabilitation and making a tangible difference in peoples' lives.
About You
NZ registration as an Occupational Therapist and a current Annual Practising Certificate
A minimum of 5 years' experience working in mental health and addiction services
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and supervise
Knowledge of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to equity and culturally safe practice
A full NZ drivers licence
