ANZCO Foods Canterbury have an opportunity for a Health and Safety Advisor to join the team.
The position will see you providing coaching, leadership and mentoring in Health and Safety at ANZCO Foods Canterbury.
This is your opportunity to take the lead in a hands-on, high-impact role, where you'll work closely with teams across the business to ensure everyone goes home safe, every day.
This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Health and Safety Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities will include :
Be the go-to safety expert.
Identifying and managing risks and leading injury prevention initiatives that make a real difference.Regular attendance and input at Health and Safety meetings and workshops to ensure the role remains abreast of initiatives, improvements and developments.Ensuring all emergency response procedures are in place with accident and incident investigations carried out in an effective and timely manner with corrective actions being completed.Provide support, in conjunction with Health and Safety Injury Management Advisor, to any injured person's Supervisor / Manager regarding injury management processesTrain, coach and develop health and safety related employees on various health and safety processesDeliver insightful trend analysis and contribute to engaging safety reports that inform smarter decisions.
Skills and Experience we are looking for :
Tertiary Health and Safety Qualification (desirable)Minimum 5 years practical health and safety experience in a manufacturing / production environment or food environment within a complex unionised / multi-site environmentProven success in rolling out and managing Health & Safety Management Systems, policies, audits, investigations, and risk assessments.Health and safety audit experience and report writing
