Senior Water Services Advisor

Overview

Waimakariri District is seeking a Senior Water Services Advisor to join the Water Services Unit within our Utilities and Roading Department, based in Rangiora, North Canterbury.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and skilled engineer, with experience across both water and wastewater services, to join a progressive and customer-focused Council.

This is a 2 year fixed term position with the responsibility of assisting with the implementation of Council's Water Service Delivery Plan, including developing the three-year Water Services Strategy and advising on compliance reporting requirements for economic regulation.

Responsibilities

Work closely with asset managers within the Water Services Unit to deliver asset management projects and develop strategies and plans.

Take ownership for projects and work closely with other staff across the organisation to deliver high quality water services.

Qualifications

Qualified engineer with relevant expertise in Water Services asset management and service delivery.

Significant experience in developing strategies, overseeing regulatory compliance and managing asset planning projects is preferred.

Strong organisational and oral communication skills are essential.
