Senior Water Services Advisor

Join to apply for the Senior Water Services Advisor role at Waimakariri District Council.Waimakariri District is seeking a Senior Water Services Advisor to join the Water Services Unit within our Utilities and Roading Department, based in Rangiora, North Canterbury.

This is a 2 year fixed term position with the responsibility of assisting with the implementation of Council's Water Service Delivery Plan, including developing the three-year Water Services Strategy and advising on compliance reporting requirements for economic regulation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and skilled engineer, with experience across both water and wastewater services, to join a progressive and customer-focused Council.OverviewThis role will suit a qualified engineer, with relevant expertise in Water Services asset management and service delivery.

The position requires taking ownership for projects and working closely with asset managers and staff across the organisation to deliver high quality water services.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the implementation of Council's Water Service Delivery Plan and develop the three-year Water Services Strategy.Advise on compliance reporting requirements for economic regulation.Work with asset managers within the Water Services Unit to deliver asset management projects and develop strategies and plans.Take ownership for projects and collaborate with other staff to deliver high quality water services.QualificationsQualified engineer with relevant expertise in Water Services asset management and service delivery.Significant experience in developing strategies, overseeing regulatory compliance and managing asset planning projects.Strong organisation and oral communication skills.BenefitsThe rewards for this position include a competitive salary package, great working conditions and a supportive and friendly team environment where you can make a difference.
