At the Hermitage Hotel, our Housekeeping team is key to ensuring the guest experience exceeds expectations, providing a clean and comfortable space for visitors after a day of exploring and taking in the views.

Public area attendants work at a fast pace with high attention to detail and passion for cleanliness to ensure every guest has a fantastic first impression every day.

Similarly, maintaining high standards in the public spaces of staff accommodation ensures staff have an inviting place to relax in their free time.

What you will be doing

Performing all housekeeping activities in a timely manner to ensure public areas in the hotel and staff accommodations are serviced according to hotel standards.

Supporting and meeting targets to ensure the hotel's public areas and services are always presented to a high standard.

Reporting maintenance requirements or issues to maintenance or escalating as needed.

Following company procedures and using the correct cleaning materials and equipment.

Working as part of a small team to ensure tasks are completed fully and information is communicated effectively to set the team up for success.

What you will bring to the role

Experience in housekeeping operations or commercial cleaning is preferred.

A valid New Zealand driver's license or legal equivalent is required; manual license preferred.

Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, with days off during the week.

Excellent attention to detail.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

A collaborative approach and willingness to assist others.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position.

Pay rate of $25 per hour.
