About The Role

This is a fixed-term contract until the end of March, with potential to extend depending on business needs. It's an exciting opportunity for someone with hands-on experience across the full spectrum of generalist HR — including coaching, engagement, training and development, performance management, ER, and HR systems and processes.

In this role, you’ll provide high-quality advice and coaching to managers and teams, building HR credibility through your solid knowledge of NZ employment law and a people-focused approach to engagement and development. You’ll be confident leading performance conversations, managing PIPs, and handling the occasional tricky disciplinary process.

You’ll play a key role in fostering a positive, progressive workplace culture, while working closely with a supportive, collaborative, and fun team.

About You

You’re passionate about People & Culture and genuinely enjoy making a difference in the workplace. You’re someone who can hit the ground running — unafraid to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. Confident and capable, you handle tough conversations with care, while building strong, trusting relationships with stakeholders.

You bring strong end-to-end ER expertise, supported by relevant qualifications, hands-on experience, and a deep understanding of NZ employment law. Your approach is practical, solutions-focused, and strategic — and you thrive in environments where you can support, influence, and deliver.

You know how to partner effectively to achieve outcomes that benefit both people and the business. You’re driven by building capability, enhancing engagement, and contributing to ongoing improvement across the organisation.
