The Opportunity
This newly created, full-time role based at our Head Office in Takanini, is an integral part of our People & Capability team.
You will be instrumental in strengthening our "Great Crews" culture by providing expert ER guidance and empowering our leaders.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary advisor on all employment relations matters, providing expert, pragmatic, and timely advice.
Manage end-to-end ER case management, ensuring all processes are fair, compliant, and build trust while minimising organisational risk.
Coach and empower our leaders, building their capability to confidently handle people-related challenges.
Champion our values-driven culture by contributing to cultural change initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Utilise data-driven insights to identify trends and proactively address potential workplace issues.
What You'll Bring to the Team
You are a calm, pragmatic, and empathetic professional who excels at navigating complex employment matters.
You build relationships with ease, are driven by fairness and commitment to doing the right thing.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in an Employment Relations or Advisor role.
A deep and practical understanding of New Zealand employment legislation and natural justice principles.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven sound judgement and empathy.
The self-motivation and ability to work autonomously to manage a varied and complex caseload.
A relevant tertiary qualification in HR, Law, or a related field.
The flexibility for occasional national travel to our branches as required.
