- The Head of PayTech & Emerging Payments (a Technology Industries sub sector) role is primarily responsible for successfully overseeing a risk assessed growth of a national portfolio of Strategic and High Value companies operating in this space – as well as directly managing a small portfolio of clients (tilted towards this Technology Industries sub sector) across New Zealand, working together with BNZ Merchant and Transactional specialists and a wide range of internal and external contacts. This role is located primarily in Auckland but will require travel nationally!We spoke with our Senior Partner who let us know the following about the role : No day is the same and it's this variety is what makes the role so exciting. A typical day might entail;
- Develop and execute the Bank’s Technology Industries sub sector goals and strategy.
- Grow the Bank’s revenues from this Technology Industries sub sector.
- Lead and / or influence the Bank’s credit and risk policy settings as they relate to this Technology Industries sub sector.
- Manage and lead the Bank’s Technology Industries sub sector national portfolio and proposition.
- Establish and manage the relationships with key national organisations operating within this Technology Industries sub sector in the best interests of the Bank
- Act as the Bank’s lead representative and / or relationship person with key industry bodies and associations, maintaining high profile to enhance the Bank’s reputation and standing within this Technology Industries sub sector .You will be joining a collaborative and supportive team, allowing you to share knowledge, learn from others and continually grow and develop.Most importantly, we're looking for someone who's motivated to help put their stamp on our culture and challenge us to lift the bar.This role is a great mix of working independently and coming together as a team to deliver for our clients.This role will lead this sub sector’s proposition and portfolio nationally, from both a leadership, risk and strategic perspective, as part of the Banks’s overall Technology Industries proposition and portfolio – and will be responsible for growing Bank’s revenues from the sub sector.We are looking for a self-motivated, ambitious team player who has a growth mindset and desire to contribute to the performance of our region.Ideally, you will also have a high level of commercial acumen and either an already established professional network in the region or proven ability to grow a network to help serve our customers brilliantly!Please note : this role will require travel throughout New Zealand as required.
