We have strong partnerships with other shipping line, moving cargo across 25 customer destinations in 16 countries.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Logistics Manager to support our Group Depot & Transport functions, ensuring the smooth, accurate, and efficient operation of logistics processes that keep our business moving.

This role is ideal for an experienced logistics professional who thrives on coordination, data accuracy, and operational excellence.

About the role :

In this role you'll lead the teams responsible for Container Control and Planning, ensuring that depot and transport operations run seamlessly across our network.

You'll play a key role in managing data integrity, system performance, and operational reporting, while driving process improvements and supporting financial and strategic objectives.

Operational Support & Coordination

Oversee logistics support across NZ Depots and Transport.

Lead Container Control and Planning teams to deliver operational efficiency.

Monitor container and transport performance, resolving issues promptly.

Maintain accurate data and system integrity across transport management systems.

Prepare and present reports highlighting trends, insights, and recommendations.

Drive the adoption of system enhancements and process improvements.

Develop and implement operational procedures that boost productivity and safety.

Lead assigned Group projects.

Performance & Team Leadership

Conduct regular performance reviews and support professional development.

Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Support workforce planning and resource allocation to meet business demands.

Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce costs.

Strategic & Financial Support

Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cost-tracking activities.

Monitor logistics KPIs and performance metrics to drive improvement.

Provide insights and data to support group-level decision-making.

Customer Focus

Lead a team that provides accurate, professional, and timely customer service.

Ensure customer queries and issues are managed efficiently and effectively.

Represent Depot & Transport in group-level projects and meetings.

Health & Safety

Model a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSE standards.

Identify and report any incidents, hazards, or near misses promptly.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in logistics, supply chain, or transport operations management.

Strong leadership skills with a focus on performance and accountability.

Excellent systems and reporting capability.

Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Proven ability to drive process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement.

This is a full-time permanent role based in Auckland.
