We're seeking an experienced Supply Chain Category Manager to successfully manage the procurement of materials and be the subject matter expert for specific categories in the organisation.
You will partner with, advise, facilitate and collaborate with key stakeholders across the business and externally.
Your responsibilities will include :
Responsibilities
Reviewing category spend and better allocate resources and manage projects effectively
Monitor and manage efficient replenishment planning for specific categories
Provide weekly analysis for key stakeholders
Adjust plans for demand changes, production or shipping changes and ensure suppliers meet these changes
Ensure forecasts and plans are completed per business needs
Manage purchasing decisions to minimise profit impact for inwards freight and cashflow planning
Manage relationships with key suppliers, involving sharing intelligence, coordinating negotiations and ensuring suppliers meet both procurement and supply planning requirements
Analyse market and customer data, spend data, and supplier performance to identify opportunities and insights for cost and quality management
Leading and supporting procurement initiatives and projects across the business
Qualifications
A tertiary qualification in a related discipline
2+ years' experience in a supply chain or procurement role
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to carry out root cause analysis and propose improvement initiatives
Ability to deal with ambiguity and make sound business decisions driven by data
Accuracy and a strong focus on attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced Microsoft Office skills particularly working with Excel spreadsheets
Ability to relate constructively with all levels of the business
