Part-Time Senior Associate - Commercial Law

We are working with an excellent CBD firm that is seeking a senior lawyer to join their established and reputable Business Law team on a part-time basis.

The successful candidate will have the chance to work closely with partners, mentor juniors, and contribute to a variety of transactions both in New Zealand and cross-jurisdictionally.

Responsibilities

Mergers and acquisitions

Manage commercial contracts and provide general advisory work

Assist in business structuring and shareholder arrangements

Work closely with partners and clients

Supervise and mentor junior team members

The team has a steady stream of work, an established referred and generational client base, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with both partners – spanning across various sectors and interest areas.

Qualifications

With 7+ years PQE in corporate and / or commercial law under your belt, you possess excellent technical skills and are adaptable and solutions focused.

Your ability to build rapport with clients enables you to deliver practical and professional advice.

An interest in mentoring more junior lawyers demonstrates your commitment to fostering a supportive team environment.

Your ability to think creatively, exercise sound judgement and work as part of a team sets you apart.
