Senior Solicitor

to elevate the Employment Law Team.

This is a permanent role based in Auckland CBD.

In this role, you will deliver top-tier legal advice across diverse and complex issues, while mentoring and leading a talented team of junior professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert advice in Employment Law, Health and Safety, and Privacy.

Manage a varied caseload, including complex cases.

Mentor and oversee junior staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to foster their development.

Build strong client relationships with clear, practical advice.

Lead negotiations and draft complex legal documents.

Collaborate across teams to deliver seamless service.

Stay updated on legal changes and apply them effectively.

Support business growth through networking and client engagement.

Contribute to training, policy development, and strategic initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

Qualified solicitor with 5+ years of post-qualification experience in Employment, Health and Safety and / or Privacy and associated areas of practice.

Practising certificate or ability to get one

Strong legal knowledge and experience with complex cases.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Proven leadership and mentoring experience.

Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Proactive, detail-focused, and solution-driven.

Team player with collaborative skills.
