About the role

We're looking for a confident and experienced leader to head our Contracts Specialists team, delivering procurement activities for Watercare infrastructure projects valued up to $100 million.

This includes managing tenders, validating pricing and risk, and overseeing contract formation for strategic projects, in line with Watercare's processes, government rules, and legal requirements.

This role is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of Watercare's Asset Management Plan (AMP), meeting regulatory obligations on time and within budget.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

About you

To Thrive In This Role, You'll Bring

A tertiary qualification in engineering, construction, or a related business field

5–10 years' experience in construction procurement management

A solid understanding of commercial contract forms, including CCCS, Framework Agreements (e.g. tender panels), NZS3910, and NZS3916

Proven experience managing or sourcing contracts under NZS3910, NZS3916, CCCS, NEC3, or FIDIC

Strong skills in preparing contract documents, management reports, and approval papers
