Overview

Our client is seeking a passionate senior legal professional to join their established and reputable Business Law team.

The successful candidate will have the chance to work closely with partners and clients, mentor junior team members, and contribute to a variety of transactions both in New Zealand and cross-jurisdictionally.

Responsibilities

Mergers and acquisitions

Managing commercial contracts and provide general advisory work

Assisting in business structuring and shareholder arrangements

Working closely with partners and clients

Supervising and mentor junior team members

The team has a steady stream of work, an established referred and generational client base, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with both partners – spanning across various sectors and interest areas.

To be successful in this role you should have

With 3+ years PQE in corporate and / or commercial law under your belt at a reputable top or mid-tier firm, you possess excellent technical skills and are adaptable and solutions focused.

Your ability to build rapport with clients enables you to deliver practical and professional advice.

An interest in mentoring more junior lawyers demonstrates your commitment to fostering a supportive team environment.

Your ability to think creatively, exercise sound judgement and work as part of a team sets you apart.
