Support the People & Culture team at Rotorua Lakes Council, gaining hands-on HR experience and contributing to community-focused projects.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include :
- Participating in the Work Placement Program from November 2025 to February 2026.
- Supporting the People & Culture team in delivering a full range of HR functions, including recruitment and talent acquisition, policy development and administration, performance and remuneration management, employee and industrial relations, wellbeing initiatives, learning and development, and health and safety oversight.
- Collaborating across the organisation to support staff and contribute to various and diverse projects.
- Gaining exposure to local government operations and learning from experienced leaders.
- Upholding the Council’s commitment to biculturalism and working in partnership with Te Arawa, the local iwi.
About You
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following :
