As an Applications Solution Specialist, you’ll take ownership of MiTek, our mission-critical software platform that powers PlaceMakers’ frame and truss manufacturing operations. From initial design and estimating through to scheduling, fabrication, and delivery, MiTek plays a central role in how we build. You will work closely with manufacturing teams, technical partners and vendors to troubleshoot issues, optimise workflows, deliver practical solutions and enhance system performance to meet evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end support and operational delivery
• Act as the primary contact for resolving system issues and minimising workflow disruptions
• Drive system improvements that boost efficiency, accuracy and overall performance
• Turn user feedback into actionable system enhancements that support continuous improvement
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to plan upgrades and deliver solutions
• Provide training, documentation, and support system use across the business
• Share insights to inform strategic planning and guide future system development

Based on site at PlaceMakers Support Office in Penrose, Auckland, this is a permanent full-time role, offering 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with business-critical after-hours on-call responsibilities as required.

About you / Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring 5+ years of IT experience in in business-critical applications and service delivery, with strong technical skills across database architecture, system integration, cloud technologies, and performance optimisation
