Reportingto the Applications Team Leader, you'll be responsible for the configuration,maintenance, and operational management of Avanti Group's Loan Origination andTreasury Management systems.

You'll also support key system interfaces,ensuring they perform reliably and securely for both internal teams andexternal partners.

As an Applications Systems Engineer, you can expect to

Configuring,maintaining, and managing loan management, treasury management, andreporting systems.

Monitoringapplication health, performing checks, and resolving issues to minimisedisruption.

Providingtechnical support for interfaces, including overnight and scheduled jobs.

Managinguser access and conducting regular security and permission reviews.

Supportingsystem enhancements, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintainingaccurate system documentation and configuration records.

Partneringwith business owners on application roadmaps and ensuring data integrity.

Buildingstrong relationships with vendor support teams to resolve issueseffectively.

What we look for in the successful candidate

The successful candidate will bring a strong mix of financial systems knowledge andtechnical capability, including

Experience configuring and supporting low / no-codeapplications and workflow scripting.

Knowledge of loan origination, loan management, andtreasury management systems - ideally Finance Manager, FinConnect, orQuantum.

Exposure to public cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure,AWS) and modern technology toolsets (Linux, Java, SQL Server, MicrosoftO365, JSON / XML web services).

Understanding of both the financial context andtechnical requirements of system operations, ensuring accuracy,compliance, and efficiency.

Familiarity with the software development lifecycle andagile delivery methods (Scrum, Kanban).

Awareness of IT Service Management principles (ITIL)and their application in financial systems support.

A tertiary qualification in Computer Science,Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline
