Overview

National Account Manager – Wet Processing Solutions. Location : Flexible – can be based anywhere in New Zealand (North or South Island). Reports to : Managing Director, ANZ.

Our client is a leading global OEM specialising in the design, manufacture, and supply of turnkey wet processing solutions, with a strong footprint across Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia–Pacific. The company provides market-leading equipment and expertise to the mineral processing, mining, quarrying, aggregates, sand & gravel, recycling, ceramics, and glass industries. Advanced engineering and process systems deliver sustainable, high-efficiency water and material recovery outcomes for industrial customers across the region.

Core solutions include :

  • Filter Presses for tailings and sludge dewatering
  • Thickeners & Clarifiers for water treatment and recovery
  • Complete Wet Processing Plants incorporating crushing, washing, screening, and classification
  • Slurry Pumps, Feeders, and Conveyors
  • Water Management & Recycling Systems for closed-loop operations

The business partners with mine and quarry operators, EPCs, EPCMs, and industrial contractors, helping them reduce water usage, increase recovery rates, and achieve environmental compliance. It has dedicated technical and service presence across ANZ and is recognised for its technical depth, reliability, and solutions-driven approach.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and technically minded National Business Development Manager to lead growth across New Zealand’s mining, quarrying, and industrial sectors. Reporting to the Managing Director (ANZ), you’ll be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities, while also managing key customer relationships throughout New Zealand. The role blends strategic business development and technical solution selling, requiring someone comfortable working at every stage of the project lifecycle—from feasibility and specification through to delivery and commissioning. This is a national role with flexible location options (North or South Island). You’ll spend part of your time working remotely and the rest travelling to client sites and project locations across the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across mining, quarrying, aggregates, and recycling industries.
  • Develop strong relationships with asset owners, contractors, EPCs, EPCMs, and consulting engineers.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and technical forums.
  • Conduct client presentations, site visits, and equipment demonstrations, supporting feasibility and test-work discussions.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and project teams to develop proposals, quotations, and tenders.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, market intelligence, and pipeline reporting.
  • Maintain deep product knowledge across dewatering, filtration, and water-management technologies.
  • Travel frequently throughout New Zealand, with occasional international travel to Australia and Asia for training, conferences, or client engagement.

  • Candidate Profile

    We’re seeking a technically capable sales professional experienced in capital equipment or process-solution sales within the mining, quarrying, aggregates, or industrial markets. Ideally, experience in wet processing, dewatering, or mineral processing systems is preferred, though candidates from related capital-equipment sectors such as pumps, filtration, crushing / screening, or plant solutions are encouraged to apply.

    Requirements :

  • Proven success in business development or account management of technical or capital-equipment solutions.
  • Background or familiarity with mineral processing, dewatering, or industrial process systems.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Process, Mechanical, or Chemical) preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage long-cycle project sales.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-relationship skills.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working autonomously.
  • Full New Zealand driver’s licence and unrestricted working rights.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across NZ.
