About the RoleAs a Digital Facilities Engineer, you'll be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining the digital infrastructure that underpins our core operations.You'll work on critical systems ensuring they operate reliably and securely to meet organisational needs including :
Network equipment, including switching and wirelessCablingData CentresPower, environmental, building management and security systemsYou'll collaborate with our Infrastrucure & Investment group, senior engineers, project teams, and vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and ensure compliance with technical standards.This role is key to maintaining a secure, reliable, and high-performing digital environment.
About the Team / Service / LocationThe Digital Facilities Engineer (Central) sits within the Network and Communications team, part of the Digital Operations function under the wider Digital Services group.Reporting into the Practice Lead (Network and Communications Central), You'll be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, collaboration, and a can-do attitude.
The team plays a vital role in maintaining the digital infrastructure that supports efficient, connected healthcare services.
About youYou will be a technically skilled professional with experience maintaining digital facilities and core infrastructure systems.With strong troubleshooting skills and a focus on reliability, you work collaboratively to deliver solutions that optimise performance.
You will also have the following skills and experience to support your success in the role :
Minimum 2 years experience in deploying, configuring, and maintaining digital or IT facilities services within a technical environment.Minimum 5 years experience delivering day-to-day technical support for end users and / or IT systems.1–3 years experience implementing and configuring complex IT solutions, including troubleshooting, incident management, and technical issue resolution.Healthcare experience is preferred.A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering) or equivalent experience.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.We're dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of Aotearoa / New Zealand.
