Fleet Maintenance Manager

Our dedicated and high performing team offers whole-of-life vehicle and mobile plant management, from procurement, lease management, and disposal, to scheduled and unscheduled servicing, maintenance, and defect management.We are seeking a Fleet Maintenance Network Manager to oversee the aftermarket supplier network.

In this pivotal role, you will leverage your experience and professional relationships to ensure delivery of best-of-class service while addressing any performance gaps.

You will provide leadership across all stakeholders and demonstrate a commitment to asset management principles, ensuring the Downer fleet remains well-maintained, compliant, available, and, most importantly, safe.Additionally, you will work closely with internal Fleet leaders to develop team strategies, drive implementation, and lead change initiatives.

Nga pukenga matua | Important SkillsMechanical Trade Qualification in Diesel, Automotive, Electrical, or similar field, or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fieldExtensive mechanical knowledge to assess repair costs, ideally with a background in mechanics or workshop managementExperienced in managing workshops, with a strong focus on administrative tasks and systemsExcellent time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and stay organisedStrong negotiation skills, capable of securing the best value for Downer and confidently handling difficult conversations with suppliersThis role involves frequent travel, so the ability to travel and stay away from home is essential.
