Job descriptionInspect vehicle engine and mechanical / electrical components to diagnose issues accurately; Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and update; Perform hybrid battery diagnostics, servicing, and replacement; Repair mechanical and electrical faults in motor vehicles and replace parts when required; Utilise diagnostic tools and scanning equipment to identify faults and performance issues. Conduct routine maintenance and general mechanical work as needed to ensure road worthiness and longevity; Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards at the workshop; Provide high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service; Contribute to weekly "toolbox meetings" and company policies and procedures. Relevant qualification (Level 4 qualification in Automotive Engineering or above); or at least three year of relevant experience as automotive technician / mechanic. Must have a full clean New Zealand driver’s licence Experience with hybrid vehicle and batteries diagnostics. Flexibility to work all shifts including weekends and public holidays (as may be required) Professional approach. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to work individually and as a team. Organisational and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail. Analytical thinking. Precision. Proactive.

Position Summary :
- Title : Automotive Technician / Mechanic
- Wage : $30.00 - $40.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
- Location : Penrose, Auckland
- Employment Type : Permanent – Full-time
- Hours of Work : 45 hours per week (30 hours guaranteed), from Monday to Friday 8 : 00am to 5 : 30pm. An employee may be required to work on weekend and up to 52 hours per week.
