We are an award-winning 4-star plus hotel situated only 5 minutes from Auckland International Airport.The hotel has 222 rooms and a large conference centre, 2 kitchens, and several F&B outlets.

Our buildings and grounds are well maintained and we love creating an experience of genuine hospitality, care, and excellent service for guests.The RoleAs Maintenance Manager, you will report to our Property and Assets Manager and will be in-charge of running a small team of maintenance staff whilst coordinating a range of general hotel maintenance, repairs, upkeep of the hotel's grounds, rooms and public areas.

You will liaise with contractors, negotiate with suppliers, and plan and execute project work.The usual work shifts are Monday to Friday with occasional emergency call-outs on weekends.

We are seeking an experienced maintenance manager who is comfortable handling : Electrical work : replacing light fittings / power points / repair faulty electrical equipment / test and tag.Basic plumbing work : change taps, fix minor leaks, remove / replace toilets or vanities, replace faulty valves.Maintaining fixtures and fittings.Painting and Plasterboard in conference areas / rooms / hallways etc.Ground maintenance : maintaining gardens / lawns, weeding, pool maintenance, cleaning outside areas.Assisting with deep cleaning tasks around the building, rooms, and grounds.Special building, renovation, and maintenance projects.Preventative maintenance programme.Key RequirementsA formal trade qualification e.g. in carpentry, or another trade would be an advantage.Well-proven ability to manage teams and projects.Excellent verbal and written communication & customer service skills with a "can-do" attitude.Computer literate- both Microsoft office and able to learn relevant hotel software.A commitment to Health and SafetyHighly organised with an ability to manage multiple priorities and ensuring timely completion of tasks.Be available for after-hours callouts to attend to emergency maintenance issues.We offer a friendly working environment, free car parking, uniform and staff meals, along with other great staff benefits.
