Work Location : Auckland

Employment type : Full time (guaranteed 30 hours / per week, maximum 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday between 11 : 30 AM to 10 : 00 PM), Permanent role

Our pay : $25-$35 per hour depending on skills

We are a well-established popular restaurant based in Auckland.

To enhance our team, we are now looking for a 1 Cook to join our team. We are expecting someone who has a passion for food, attention to details, ability to multi task and be a proactive member of the team.

Ideal candidates should have at least 1 year’s relevant work experience at commercial kitchen, OR have a NZQF level 4 qualification in cookery or equivalent certificates.

You are required to :

• Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Checking ingredients to make sure the quality and freshness
• Preparing and Cooking various dishes, fillings, sources in various equipment, utensils and grillers
• Measure and combine ingredients and raw materials using hands / hand tools and other equipment for traditional foods
• Seasoning, portioning, adding sauces to the food during / after cooking
• Preparing food to meet client’s taste and dietary needs
• Arrange food on plates or wrap it to be taken away
• Storing and reserving food
• Assisting in planning menus, estimating food and labour costs
• Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
• Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of machines before each run, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Assisting with training and coordinating with other staff such as kitchen hands if needed
