We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cook to support our kitchen operations, ensuring quality food preparation, consistency, and high standards of hygiene and safety. Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and season food in line with set recipes and quality standards
Consistently deliver high standards of food presentation and portion control
Maintain cleanliness and compliance with all hygiene and safety regulations
Manage daily prep lists and assist in the ordering and stock rotation process
Liaise with suppliers and assist with deliveries and inventory management
Support the introduction of new menus and seasonal dishes
Monitor food service speed and ensure guest satisfaction
Ensure kitchen staff adhere to uniform and grooming standards
Report complaints, accidents, and incidents promptly and accurately
Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned by management
Health & Safety
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Ensure work practices meet legal, company, and industry safety standards
Identify hazards, take preventative action, and promote a Zero Harm workplace
Report all incidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions immediately
Maintain awareness of safety policies and support a culture of workplace safety
Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA) and related regulations
About You
Minimum 1 year of relevant cooking experience , or a NZQF Level 2 / 3 qualification , or AQF Certificate III / IV (depending on training and location)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen
Calm, professional, and organised under pressure
Good communication and teamwork skills
Computer literate and able to complete basic paperwork
Willing to undergo pre-employment checks (including drug screening, if required)
Strong work ethic, time management, and commitment to food safety
