Job description

Lucky Star Fast Food in Taupo is looking for some full-time Cooks to join us, mainly responsible for cooking Chinese style dishes.

This is a full time permanent position, you will work

• hours per week on the roster.

Key Duties include :

examining foodstuffs to ensure quality

regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment

preparing and cooking food

seasoning food during cooking

portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes

storing food in temperature controlled facilities

preparing food to meet special dietary requirements

plan menus and estimate food requirements

train other kitchen staff and apprentices

We expect the candidates to have :

At least 1 year work experience in cooking Chinese cuisine or a relevant qualification at NZQF level 2

Have the skills and knowledge to operating Chinese wok and knife

Flexibility to work on weekend and night shifts, overtime may be required

Drug free with a clean police record
