We are looking for a Full Time Second Chef to join our kitchen team.Working hours : Saturday and Sunday 08 : 00am – 4 : 30pm (including a 30 minutes unpaid break).
Friday, Monday and Tuesday : 07 : 00am – 2 : 00pm (including a 1 hour unpaid break).
Our OrganisationAt New Zealand Aged Care Services Limited, we provide dedicated support and drive in our individual Care Homes and Villages.
We currently have 11 Care homes and 6 Villages, with a total of around 610 team members and have a focus on future expansion.

If you like to keep busy, enjoy variety, will always give it your best, thrive on challenges, and want to join a strong team, then we are the place and have the role you have been looking for.Requirements / QualificationsWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chef who has : Previous experience as a Second Chef, Sous Chef, or Cook in a commercial kitchen.Passionate about food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards.Able to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.Team player with excellent communication skills.Knowledge of food safety regulations and safe food-handling practices.ResponsibilitiesAssist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and presenting meals to a high standard.Lead kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence.Ensure food is prepared in line with dietary requirements and menu specifications.Maintain stock control, assist with ordering, and minimise food waste.Supervise and support kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.Uphold high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety.Contribute to menu development and creative food ideas.Benefits / Working ConditionsCompetitive wageGreat hours - no nights and only occasional weekends.Ongoing support from management and the team to achieve the best in your role and to support your professional development.Full orientation will be provided.A workplace where trustworthiness, hard work and fun are valued.ApplicationYour application will include the following questions : Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?
