- The Health Monitoring Programme will deliver a comprehensive health monitoring framework to monitor the medical and psychological health of our people who work in both physically and psychologically demanding roles, predominantly in emergency situations and under difficult environmental conditions, with known exposures that can cause harm.The Health Monitoring Programme role is pivotal in developing the systems and practices to enable the early identification of health decline and allow Fire and Emergency to take timely rehabilitation and supportive actions, identify where Fire and Emergency needs to strengthen controls, and enable Fire and Emergency to make data driven decisions to drive positive improvements in our workplace health and safety practices.You will be leading a range of working groups and project teams necessary to deliver the work, supported by a small programme team.
As part of this, you will be accountable for reporting to the Governance Group, Executive Leadership Team and the Board on programme progress, outcomes and impacts.
You will also need to understand the wider objectives of the Fire and Emergency portfolio and organisation, have credibility within the environment and be able to engage and collaborate with key stakeholders both internally and externally.This is a Fixed Term position from as soon as possible until 30 June 2027.
Ko tau na i tenei turanga - What you'll bring to the role :You will have extensive senior safety, health and wellbeing experience, including in the establishment of health monitoring programmes, along with demonstrated strong programme and project management, change management and stakeholder engagement ability.With your strong relationship-building skills you will quickly earn the trust and confidence of senior leaders, Fire and Emergency personnel and key stakeholders.
