If so, we would love to hear from you.The YWCA Christchurch provides transitional housing across three sites, supporting vulnerable individuals and whanau in our community.
We believe that safe and secure housing is the foundation for a better life, and we are committed to assisting people into sustainable long-term homes.We are seeking a dedicated Housing Co-ordinator to join our Transitional Housing team.Key Responsibilities : Support clients throughout their housing journey, empowering them to achieve independence and stability.Ensure all accommodation is maintained to a high standard and meets organisational requirements.Collaborate with community partners, agencies, stakeholders and contractors to achieve positive housing outcomes.Assist whanau and individuals to transition successfully into safe, sustainable long-term housing.Maintain accurate client records and contribute to reporting and compliance requirements.Key Skills and Attributes : Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals and whanau.Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.Experience in housing support, or a related sector is highly desirable.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Problem-solving mindset with resilience and adaptability in challenging situations.Experience in Xero and Microsoft applications.Why Join Us : Be part of a values-driven organisation making a meaningful difference in the Christchurch community.Work in a supportive, collaborative environment.Opportunity to contribute to lasting, positive change for individuals and whanau.Location : ChristchurchHours : Full-time (40 hours per week & participation in after-hours on-call roster)If you are motivated by helping others, value community wellbeing, and want to be part of an organisation committed to inclusion, honesty, and empathy, we want to hear from you.Please provide your CV and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
