We’re looking for an experienced Civil Construction Project Manager to oversee Civil projects in the Waikato region. This pivotal role involves managing and leading project delivery to ensure work is completed profitably, compliantly, and efficiently. You’ll enjoy variety and challenge while having the opportunity to make a significant impact. The role requires excellence in people leadership and staff development, managing important stakeholder relationships, and taking responsibility for both operational and financial outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Set project estimates for resource use and cost, manage the project to meet or exceed margins / profit
- Ensure jobs are carried out to job specifications, company policies and relevant legislation, codes and regulations
- Maintain customer / client relationships and find innovative ways to add value to our customers and meet expectations
- Subcontractor and Supplier Management
- Prepare a specific programme to achieve the construction dates and milestones
- Lead and champion Fulton Hogan best practices, work procedures, health and safety, environment and quality procedures, customer relationship management on all projects
Requirements / What were looking for
Minimum 5 years' experience in managing the delivery of projects in the Civil Construction industryHolds relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor or Engineering) or equivalent practical experienceFull class 1 driver's licenceProven client building relationship and management experienceSolid experience with job pricing including materials, labour and plant and associated margin / profit calculationsKnowledge of underlying engineering principles that represent good practice with NZ CivilFamiliar with NZS 3910, Construction Contracts Act, NEC Contracts, Working towards CCS training as Project Management toolCompetent users of Word, Excel and ProjectCompany vehicle provided in this position.KiwiSaver employer contributions.Family scholarships.Ongoing training and development, career growth and progression opportunities.Great discounts at a wide range of retailers.Medical insurance.Life insurance.About Fulton Hogan
