Your mornings often begin with reviewing new requests, prioritising urgent hospital and community deliveries, and ensuring equipment is clean, available, and fit for use.

Organisation and clear communication are key as you coordinate with clinical teams, suppliers, and logistics staff to keep everything moving smoothly.No two days look the same – one moment you'll be arranging the delivery of essential equipment to a patient's home, the next you'll be updating records, troubleshooting a missing item with a ward, or answering a call from a clinician who needs urgent support.

It's a role that blends teamwork, problem-solving, and attention to detail, and at the end of each day you'll know your work has directly contributed to patient care and recovery across the district.Your base location will be Kenepuru Hospital, but you must be prepared to travel to our other hospital sites as and when required.

The salary range for this role is $72,074 - $79,039 depending on experience.About the Team / Service LocationThe Central Equipment Pool (CEP) is a district-wide service that ensures patients and clinicians have timely access to safe, fit-for-purpose clinical equipment across hospitals and the community.

The service is delivered by a team of 11 FTE led by the Team Leader.About youExperience in equipment or asset management, logistics, or a healthcare support environment would be an advantage.Organisational and coordination skills – ability to prioritise tasks and manage workflows to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.Technical aptitude – ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge of clinical equipment functions, including basic troubleshooting.Attention to detail – ensuring equipment is safe, fit-for-purpose, and meets compliance and documentation requirements.Communication skills – clear and professional interaction with clinicians, patients, and colleagues to support safe care.Teamwork and adaptability – working collaboratively with colleagues across all functions and adjusting to changing service needs.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
