About the role : As an Autism Support Worker, you will provide personalised care and support to students with autism.

This role gives you the opportunity to make a positive impact on their well-being and overall development as they follow their educational health care plans.Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For : Follow personalised care plans and lesson plans from the teacher to meet each student's unique needs.Create a supportive and inclusive environment that helps students become more independent and grow personally.Use good communication strategies to build trust and connect with students with autism.Work with a team of teachers and staff to provide complete support for students.Keep accurate records of each student's progress and activities.The Successful Candidate Will : Previous experience as an Autism Support Worker in a school or similar role is preferred.Understanding of autism spectrum conditions and effective support strategies.Great communication and people skills.Ability to adjust to the changing needs of students with autism.A caring and patient attitude when supporting students with different needs.This is a fulfilling opportunity to contribute to the lives of students with autism in Christchurch.
