GSL Education are seeking a dedicated
Learning Support Worker
to join a supportive and dynamic team in
Christchurch
, working with students who need tailored assistance to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
Provide individualised and group support to students with moderate to severe learning difficulties, fostering a safe and nurturing learning environment.
Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to implement tailored learning plans that reflect each student's unique needs and strengths.
Assist with the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum, incorporating sensory, therapeutic, and enrichment activities to promote holistic development.
Support students in developing life skills, independence, and confidence through structured routines and meaningful learning experiences.
Requirements
Experience supporting children or young people with moderate to severe learning difficulties, either in an educational or care setting.
A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach with a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and families.
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (e.g., Level 2 / 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Team Teach, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
Have an
