Josie has been living independently for several years.We're looking for a committed and compassionate support worker to work one-on-one with Josie, helping her grow her independence across all areas of daily life.
This includes supporting her with routines such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and personal care, while encouraging her to engage with her community and participate in social and recreational activities.As the sole support person, you'll play a key role in creating a consistent, empowering environment built on trust and respect.
Josie can experience challenging behaviours and takes time to build trust, so patience, empathy, and a calm, grounded presence are essential.
You'll need to be confident in setting clear boundaries, reading situations, and offering space when needed.Daily tasks include supporting with daily routines while encouraging independence to develop skills and personal growth.
You will have the confidence to support personal cares, cooking, medication administration, and household tasks.This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who values meaningful connection and is passionate about empowering others to live more independently.
