Baker

Our Client, based in Otahuhu, is looking for enthusiastic, experienced Cake Bakers.

Multiple positions available

The primary role is the day-to-day running of the bakery department, ensuring that a sufficient amount of high-quality, freshly baked Pastries and cakes are available.

Minimum 2 years of previous baking experience in a bakery, OR Relevant Trade Qualification.

Salary $25.50-$29.50 Depending on Experience

This is a permanent position, minimum 32 hours per week (extra hours may be required based on production up to 45 per week ), shift work starts 3 00 AM in the morning.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparing frozen products for baking.

Mixing and baking require daily levels of all bakery products.

Baking requires daily levels of Cakes and other products.

Preparing and making Sandwiches.

Assembling sandwiches using breads, meats, cheeses, vegetables and other products according to customer orders.

Responsible for the operation of the pastry / Bakery section of the kitchen, includingdesserts, breads, and other baked goods.

Producing other bakery-specific products as required

Other tasks across the store as required.

Ensure that recipes and proportions are strictly adhered to to ensure consistency, quality, and cost control.

Order and maintain inventory for the pastry / Bakery section to ensure efficient operations.

Any other duties the Executive Baker / Head Chef or Baker may reasonably require.

Station maintenance and cleanliness

Follow health and hygiene standards.
